Population and Citizenship Program

Programın Amacı: The main aim of this program is to train knowledgeable, skilled, quality service-oriented public personnel who can work at the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs and prioritize personnel efficiency.

It is aimed that students graduating from the Population and Citizenship Program will meet the need for well-equipped and skilled personnel required by population and citizenship services; with high communication skills, mastery of population and citizenship legislation and other relevant legislation and legal processes, and the ability to use computers and related equipment.

Programa Öğrenci Kayıt Kabul Şartları: Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), student admission to this program is through the exam system conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). After students indicate their preferences for the programs they wish to study, they are placed in the relevant programs by this center based on the scores they receive from this exam.

The Population and Citizenship Program accepts students based on the TYT Score type.

Eğitim Dili: Turkish

Eğitim Süresi:  This program was opened in 2020 within the body of Tefenni Vocational School affiliated with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The duration of vocational education is 2 years, and our students will graduate with 120 ECTS credits at the end of 2 years. During the education period, students are required to successfully complete the common courses included in the YÖK Law, English and other common courses determined by the University Senate, as well as elective courses and a 30-day industry-based training (internship).

Program Kontenjanı: In our Vocational School, only daytime education (I. Education) is provided. 

Mezun Olunca Kazanılan Derece: Students who graduate from the Population and Citizenship Associate Degree Program receive the "Population and Citizenship Associate Degree Diploma" and obtain the title of "Population and Citizenship Vocational Staff".

This program is an associate degree level program, and students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive the "Population and Citizenship Associate Degree".

İstihdam Olanakları: There are two types of services, Population Services and Citizenship Services, within the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs affiliated with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey. In Population Services; birth procedures, death procedures, marriage procedures, divorce procedures, record correction procedures, population and family registry procedures, and issuance of population registry samples, adoption, and some other procedures such as declaration of absence are carried out. In citizenship procedures; services such as acquisition and loss of Turkish citizenship, and multiple citizenship procedures are provided. Additionally, there are projects such as MERNIS, AKS, KPS, DAP, MAKS, and TC ID CARD carried out by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs. 

The position envisaged for students graduating from the Population and Citizenship Program to work in the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs is primarily General Administrative services. However, they can also work in other service types deemed appropriate by the Ministry. This program aims to meet the branch personnel needs of the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to work in private law consultancy offices.
